1. How does eMercadoNM work?
    A. The eMercadoNM program offers two distinct solutions to help New Mexico small businesses:

    B. The first product is an enterprise level e-procurement and matchmaking software available to large government and corporate partners. This web-enabled solution allows large enables government and corporate partners to maintain a direct link to the small business community by providing access to thousands of New Mexico businesses.

    C. The second product is a community based business to business web portal. This Internet B2B portal allows businesses Statewide to connect with each other and quickly find products and services from New Mexico businesses.

2. How can eMercadoNM benefit my business?
    A. Businesses benefit through a proactive system that works on their behalf to filter down business opportunities directly to their business. Businesses benefit by the use of powerful economic impact data that helps level the playing field for small businesses. This empowers procurement professionals to make more educated purchasing decisions by factoring in “economic impact” and not just low cost.

    B. eMercadoNM promotes New Mexico businesses online with a free business card web-profile. Businesses also have the opportunity to enhance their listing within the B2B portal to further promote their products and services. Click here to find out more!

    C. The eMercadoNM staff is available to answer any questions regarding doing business with State, Federal or other municipalities and large corporations. We also offer e-commerce training and procurement training through the BJOC (Barelas Job Opportunity Center). The eMercadoNM program also has alliances with other economic development organizations to help businesses achieve their business development goals.

3. Does it cost to participate in eMercadoNM?
    A. No. It does not cost small businesses to have a business card profile in the eMercadoNM B2B portal. For government and corporate partners there are different participation levels and fee options. For profile enhancements or advertisement within the B2B portal there is an additional charge. 4. Are all New Mexico businesses allowed to participate?
    A. Yes, all New Mexico businesses are allowed to participate. It is not exclusive to Hispano Chamber members.

5. Do I need to have an e-commerce website in order to participate in eMercadoNM?
    A. No, however it is recommended. If you would like to learn about resources to create your own e-commerce site look under our biz resources section for more information

6. How can I participate in eMercadoNM?
    A. Since eMercadoNM currently has the largest database of New Mexico businesses it is very likely your business profile is already in the system. If you would like to verify your profile is in the system you can search for your company by business name. If you do not have a profile or need to update and existing profile click here! Or you can contact our office directly at (505) 842-9003 and ask for ext. 133.
